In coming up with the table, more than 120 fully credited medical schools were researched according to a set of pre-determined criteria and quality assessment.

The quality and criteria assessed include the peer assessment score, research activities, primary care rate, selectivity of students, acceptance rate, faculty resources, overall ranking, average MCAT score and mean undergraduate GPA and academic results.
